The Christchurch Earthquakes: September 4th 2010.
The earthquake that struck Canterbury New Zealand on September 4th 2010 at 4:35am was a magnitude 7.1 earthquake. The quake lasted approximately 40 seconds and was felt as far as New Plymouth in the north island. A lot of damage occurred and left the region of Canterbury in turmoil.
